EDUCATION

Help Mayshad Foundation achieve our goal to allow hundreds of marginalized children to get education from kindergarten to high school.

Your kind donation will ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all(1).

[1] As the world's population grows, more resources and policies are needed to make sure that students everywhere get a good education. Did you know that two million teachers and four million new classrooms are needed to make sure every student can get an education? Full access to quality education is the first step to achieving sustainable development, poverty eradication, gender equality and women's empowerment. Help begin the cycle of progress.

What is child sponsorship?

This is a program to contribute and make a meaningful and durable change in the lives of deserving children. The goal of every effort is to provide an education that supports the child’s learning process and to offer the community the chance to cultivate future leaders.

Sponsor a child, and your kind donation will help bring basic essentials like clean water, nutrition, education, and hope to your sponsored child as well as empowering the community they live in.

You’re investing in the life of a child. You're giving a needy child learning skills, safe place, a caring team and a path out of poverty.

How it works?

Despite considerable economic progress in Morocco and in the rest of Africa, the last couple of decades witnessed a continuation of poverty in rural areas. Furthermore, children in rural areas have been denied access to proper education and schools lacking basic facilities. Even those who eventually make it through the school system they graduate but with lacking practical skills, making it impossible to seek gainful employment or pursue higher education.

As soon as you make a donation, The Mayshad Foundation will send a DJJ (Donation Journey Journal) which will detail your donation’s journey of expenditures for your review.

The majority of our investments go towards improving nutrition, education and healthcare to help alleviate hardship on these marginalized communities.

Where can I sponsor a child?

Our child sponsorship work spans the entire African continent.

We are currently focusing on developing programs in Morocco, Mali, Mauritania and Madagascar.

Do we provide scholarships?

In certain cases, we offer qualified youth a scholarship to continue their education through secondary school, vocational training and or higher education.

Is sponsorship a monthly giving commitment?

While we prefer a sponsor to take a charge of the cost of at least a year of a child education, payable monthly, so you can follow the child development and be engaged in their life, you can also make a onetime donation.

The education benefits the sponsored child receives:

Here are some of the ways your generous donation is used for education:

  • Providing material support such as supplies, uniforms, shoes, books, school fees and transportation assistance.

  • Working directly with parents to ensure their kids are enrolled in school and engaging them on how to better support their children education.

  • Partnering with existing educational facilities in the community.

  • Provision of safe learning spaces and educational resources.

Sponsorship programs

  • One-year child’s education will cost on average $588/year.

  • Your tax-deductible donation of $49 a month will ensure that a kid has access to school and will provide the child with all the basic needs and supplies including transportation back and forth from school.

  • Donate $20 per month towards insuring that a child has the transportation needs to go to and return from school.

The public transport in rural areas is inadequate, overcrowded and most cases doesn’t exist.
